From the ground up, this mid-century modern home was designed as a serene lakeside retreat. Perched on the edge of Lake Ontario, this home was crafted for gathering, solitude, and simple everyday beauty. Our gracious clients were a joy to partner with through the entire journey, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to share the first glimpse into their completed home.
We leaned into the mid-century modern details that set this home apart: earthy textured tile, warm leathers, tailored fabrics, and furnishings that speak to a timeless yet modern vibe. Every window was carefully planned to expand the lake view, framing breathtaking natural sights that serve as living works of art. We outfitted this home with lighting from Visual Comfort, tile and flooring from ArtWalk Design, and accessories from Lindsay Laine Home.

The gathering room is all about the view — the entire back wall is glass, and even on the perpendicular wall we skipped traditional built-ins to let the windows serve as art themselves. They frame the lake, flood the space with natural light, and create an atmosphere that feels both expansive and intimate.

Step into the primary suite — a retreat designed to embrace our clients in soothing calm. The bedroom frames a sweeping view of the lake, layered in tawny earth tones, warm woods, and cozy textures. Just beyond, the bath carries the mid-century modern spirit forward with tiles and cabinetry rooted in equal parts glam, function, and comfort.

Every detail in this home, from the flooring, tile, lighting, and furnishings, works in harmony to let the views shine. Our greatest joy is creating spaces that light people up. We are so grateful to these incredible clients for trusting us and our vision and wish them many years of happiness and memory-making within these walls, finding joy and light in their home for years to come.
In the guest bathrooms, we let personality shine — playing with wall coverings, bold tile choices, custom cabinetry, mirrors, and lighting. Each detail adds to a home that truly sings in a style unique to our clients.
