Originally conceived as an expansive primary suite, this space challenged us to rethink what luxury truly feels like. While many would embrace the generous square footage, we saw an opportunity to do something unexpected, bringing intimacy to grandeur by reshaping the architecture itself.
Every element of the suite was thoughtfully designed to simplify the rituals of everyday life, from getting dressed in the morning to unwinding at the end of the day. It is a reflection of our belief that exceptional design is measured not only by how a home looks, but by how deeply it supports the people who live within it. The result is a primary suite that is elegant, highly functional, and ultimately a place our clients will never want to leave.

An octagonal sitting room, enhanced with custom millwork detailing, provides a peaceful destination for morning coffee, reading, or quiet conversation. Underfoot, plush carpeting bordered with hardwood defines the room while reinforcing the feeling of thoughtful craftsmanship.
At the heart of the suite is one of our signature design elements, the bed alcove. By gently recessing the bed into its own architectural niche, the sleeping area feels tucked away and wonderfully intimate. Behind the bed, a dreamy landscape mural printed on grasscloth serves as a quiet reminder of the spectacular natural setting beyond the windows, while grasscloth wallcovering throughout the remainder of the room pulls its soft tones into the space, creating warmth and continuity.
Rather than allowing the bedroom to feel cavernous, we introduced angled walls to create a more enveloping, cocoon-like retreat. This unconventional architectural move transformed the proportions of the room while simultaneously creating a direct line of sight from the bed to the television, improving both comfort and function. The newly created walls became the perfect backdrop for a custom cabinet designed with gathered fabric behind glass doors, adding another layer of softness and timeless character.
The Primary Bedroom
The primary bath was completely reimagined while honoring the existing limestone flooring. A dramatic enclosed marble-and-brass shower became the focal point of the room, complemented by custom walnut vanities, delicately framed brass mirrors, and sconces mounted directly on each mirror to provide both beauty and function. Rich drapery frames the soaking tub, adding softness and an unexpected layer of luxury that transforms the room into a true retreat.
